Absorbing positive vibrations from a Hindu temple involves engaging all five senses and aligning your energy centers or chakras with the spiritual energy present in the temple. Here’s how you can absorb energy and positive vibrations effectively:
Before you enter Garbha Graha or inner Sanctum
1. Take a Bath – Wet hair and clothes
As per Sadguru “You are supposed to take a dip and go through the temple with wet clothes so that you receive the energies of the consecrated space in the best possible way. Wet hair and wet clothes are the best conductor for energy absorption. This is why most Indian temples have a water body called “kund” or “kulam” or “kalyani” . Clothes remain wet for a long time. So wet clothes are the best way to go around any energy space because you will receive it best – you are most receptive that way.”
2. Pradakshina
To absorb energy from an energetic place or temple, you must go clockwise around it. This is called Pradakshina or Parikrama in North India. Saadguru further explains
When you go clockwise, you are moving with certain natural forces. Any consecrated space functions like a vortex which means that it reverberates, and it also draws. Both ways, an intermingling of what we are referring to as the divine and what we are calling as the self, happens.
